On the day of the book, Salamanca Carmen Martin Jayt, will respect the centenary of her birthday
The Salmanca City Council and the Association of Entrepreneurs in Salamanca (AESCO) will be organized next Wednesday, April 23, starting from 10:00 am, a new edition of the day of the book in which a total of 26 offices will participate.
On this occasion, it will be dedicated to the character of Carmen Martin Gate, one of the most prominent Spanish writers in the twentieth century, coinciding with the centenary of its birth. In addition, the twentieth anniversary of his death is celebrated, and for this reason, Salamanca Constory is developing a broad -range program of cultural and educational activities in order to assess its important literary career.
On the occasion of this date, where the Castilla Y León Community Day, the mayor of Salamanca, Carlos Garcia Carbayo, issued an aspect calling on Salamana and visitors to participate in this annual event, and the participation of researchers in books is estimated “who contribute to the commitment and professional reserve on the magic of reading and respect.
On the other hand, as tradition, libraries will be under the corridors of the Plaza Mayor of Plaza offering a 10 % discount; Along with each book, buyers will receive one of 10,000 numbered brands that, another year, liberated the Salamana City Council. Readers can also pick up in their book a memorial seal in Zaguan in the city of Salama.
For its part, the municipal music band, which is directed by Mario Vercher Grao, will present in the town of Plaza at 12:30, in which it will present a program consisting of Pasodobles and Zarzuela and classic degrees arrangements.
