Political fever for a picture with the Pope

The Pope – or at least received it – received historically a sign of the discrimination to which almost everything aspires … Power in this world. But Pontificate of Francisco was already a real platform for characters in search of a picture not only for memory, but also for recognition, and why not less, to meet political interests. Fever has been loaded, in one way or another, Spanish leaders of all ideologies.
They were on the occasions where the higher ink received the head of the country, although the axes in each of them were different. In April 2014, Don Juan Carlos, accompanied by Mrs. Sophia, attended, and he starred in a story when he wanted to give way to Francisco when he entered into a residence. The Pope answered with both laughter. The king was abandoning only a few weeks in favor of Don Felipe, who went alongside Mrs. Letizia to the Vatican in June of the same year, just announced. The current kings, however, had already attended in 2013, when they were still princes in Astorias.
Until three times the Pope was seen with the Prime Minister. In the first, in April 2013, he just arrived at his position, and he got Mariano Rajoy (PBUH), which was given by a football team signed by all players. The other two, in October 2020 and October 2024, had Pedro Sanchez (PSOE) as a guest. Initially, she was surprised by the absence of masks despite being in the full epidemic – the government claimed that it was the issue of a protocol – and in the second, the possibility of visiting Francisco to the Canary Islands was directed to verify the “migratory drama” on the site, which did not happen recently.

The presence of ministers in the Vatican has been many in recent years. If no one goes with Rajoy, with Sanchez, there were many: the most prominent, Carmen Calvo, Nadia Calvieu, Felix Polayus, and above all, Yolanda Diaz. The second Vice President made the ink one of the great ideological references and its mayor as “the best ambassador to a decent work.” On his last visit, in February 2024, he asked him if he had followed “a fighter as always”, and after the answer yes, he urged him to continue to do so and “not to reduce.”

Many regional leaders have also moved to the Holy See. Among them, former Galilee President Alberto Nunez Vigu (PBUH), now the opposition leader, Catalinis Aragon (ERC) and Salvador ILLA (PSC), and Exlehendakari Iñigo Urkulu (PNV), who gave him worse from the Generic tree. It was tried that Francisco, the first of the Jesuit Pope, visited Azpeitia in 2021 on the occasion of the fifth centenary of San Ignacio de Loyola conversion, but its date was not determined.
