In March 2025, 49,483 passengers arrived in our city, according to the data collected in the hotel’s occupancy survey of the National Statistics Institute, more than 12.59 % for February. The number of passengers represents a decrease of 9.01 % compared to March 2023, since 2023, the holy week coincided this month. With regard to their origin, 32,551 national passengers (-12.53 %) and 16,932 international passengers (-1.36 %) have been placed in the city’s city hotels.
The decrease in the personalities of travelers in March is widespread for “the effect of the Holy Week”. However, the city is at the registrar level in Castilla Y León (-9 % in relation to March 2024) and a little higher than the national total (-8.92 %).
The accumulated night residence in this type of hotel institution during March 2025 was 87,864 26.62 % more than February: 60,183 nationals and 27,681 internationally.
With regard to the past year, residence is lower overnight than accumulated at the level of independent society (-10.83 %) and even at the national level (-8.87 %).
The average accommodation of travelers who came to Salamanca during March 2025 was at 1.78 days, compared to 1.75 out of 2024. Spanish travelers’ stay is higher than this average (1.85) while non -Sabian travelers remain somewhat less in the city (163).
The occupancy level, during March 2025, was 47.27 % (rising to 63.93 % on weekends).
A positive development is noted during the first three months of the year, especially in the stays overnight. On the date of the quarter, the data is at the levels of 2019.
The number of travelers reaching the city accounts for 70.98 % of groups that reach the province (69,715 in March 2025). As for the accumulated residences overnight, this percentage is 69.06 % (127,230 accommodations during the night in March 2025).
Weight in an independent society is very important, given that travelers who arrive in the city represent 14.06 % of those who arrive all over Castilla Y León. In the event of a stay overnight, this number is 14.46 %. It should be noted that the equal weight of each province (no city) will be 11.11 %.
