Salamanca neighborhood, which will have a renewable street of shrubs

The Salmanca City Council continues to develop the green infrastructure strategy, Savy, to contribute to a healthier city and with a higher quality of life.
The Ministry of Environment, through Asprodes, renews the landscape of 18 Jabir located on Water Walk Street, in Barrio de Chamberí, which adds an area of 1040 square meters.
Works consist of completing and covering these fears with blocks of shrub plants with a variety of textures, heights and colors that make them attractive throughout the year, as well as contribute to the usual environmental and health benefits that produce the increase in covering the vegetation and biological diversity.
In total, 1,335 unit of shrub plants such as Eleagnus Ebbingeiii, Berberis Atropurpurea, Viburnum Tinus, Teucrium Fruticans, Potntilla Spp, Lavandula Stoechas Rosmarinus Officianalis, Spirea Japanese, among other things.
At the same time, these farms are given to the division of translated and painted irrigation network, as well as the final end with the contribution of “Al -Muhad”, which prefers to reduce the needs and maintenance of water consumption.
The latest farms of trees and shrubs are raised in El Zurguén and CHAMBERí and on the LEDESMA Road up to 93,334 the number of trees and up to 48,199 the amount of shrubs in half a thousand municipal green areas distributed in all neighborhoods in the city. The total green areas in the municipal competition reached 2,740,591.86 square meters, 110,000 more than a year. In this way, there are 18 square meters per person, twice the amount recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) in a healthy environment.
