The Red Cross believing in its humanitarian mission, during the year 2024, was preserved at the level of its activity in the province of Salama, and Wifi, with the needs of 21,205 different people, registered in data on projects, and enhancing interventions and responses. To these numbers, we must add beneficiaries in international cooperation projects allocated by the Red Cross in Salama about 60,000 euros, 1 % of their budget.
In this balance of activity, the regional head of the Red Cross thanked the work and commitment of 175 workers in the province and 1904 volunteers, an emerging figure, which makes it possible for the humanitarian organization to provide a comprehensive response to the needs of people most at risk. A voluntary work that extends beyond the province, and also participated in the recent state of emergency in Dana, Valencia, with 52 volunteers from the displaced Salamanca during the past five months to support emergency work and recover with affected persons.
