26 innocent people killed

Addressing a press conference Omar Abdullah also explained why he had held a meeting of the cabinet in Pahalgam. He said that we not only organized a meeting of the cabinet for an administrative or government function in Pahalgam, but that we came here so that the agenda represents the people of Jammu-et-Cachemire, the agenda for progress and prosperity here will not stop because of blood effusion.
He said that thanks to this meeting, we thanked the inhabitants of the cashmere, in particular Pahalgam, for their position and their bravery after the attack on April 22, where they raised their voice against violence and bloodshed. It should be mentioned that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, a Bandh was called in the valley and everyone raised their voice against terrorism.
Try to resume tourism
Omar Abdullah said tourism is an economic activity for us. It is a source of income for people. Unfortunately, it has been tangled with politics, but our government will try to keep tourism separate from current circumstances. We want the world to see Jammu and cashmere tourism as an economic activity.
He said that it will be our effort that tourism starts again to Jammu-et-Cachemire. The last 5 to 6 weeks have not been easy for the country, but the Jammu and the cashmere have suffered the most. The Jammu-et-Cachemire government will decide on the measures that we must take to overcome this situation. I am sure that the center will give us the help necessary….
