A large part of the Spanish adults suffers from a serious weight gain problem, and most of it, as a more frequent solution, faces it with fast, severe, or miracle meals in which many health risks and those that, despite all their efforts, are running to a return to the exit box. This is the conclusion of a study conducted by the MAPFRE Foundation and the experts of the Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Nutrition, which they went through for 3,150 Spanish from all independent societies.
The report shows that the overweight problem is present and is widespread. Something more than half of the Spaniards, 52 %, have weight gain or are already in obesity classification. According to the respondents themselves, seven out of ten adults adopted in life a strategy for losing weight and on average has been set at least seven times. Of course, this statistical average is not completely real, because women admit that they have started meals at double times of men.
When treating weight loss, the majority, 53 %, has been on their own responsibility, after a kind of common abbreviation or miracle diet, the vast majority without any scientific support, which not only put their health in danger but did not serve them practically from anything. These types of strategies do what is popularly known as rubber. On average, the respondents indicate that they lost about six kilograms in each attempt, but in the short term they ended up recovering more than five.
Weight and obesity affects half of the adults and the most vulnerable to meals are women in Spain
Not only that they are successful in their repeated attempts to lose weight, but 70 % realize that he does this without relying on medical advice, control and escort. A very important part of the citizens realized that they sought to shorten the most severe methods. According to the report, 43 % of the respondents admit that they have devoted themselves to eliminating carbohydrates from their diet, 13 % use food products, 12 % jumped two or more foods per day and up to 8 % of entertaincies, urine and grains not described by doctors.
A third of those who chose those who deliberately “miracle meals”, specifically chose 30 %, intermittent fasting, which consists of alternating periods of fasting with nutrition windows. This is followed by a low -calorie diet (20.4 %), which means a radical decrease in daily calories, with a toxin disposal system (10.7 %) in third place (mainly fluid consumption, such as juices and juices, to purify the body) and Dukan diet (10.6 %) in the room (high protein and strong ghost). The fifth most common diet is ketone, 9.2 %, which enhances high fat consumption and reduce maximum carbohydrates.
Multiple damage
All these fast or severe formulas involve, according to experts, a series of health risks. Some in the short term, such as headache, dizziness and constipation, and others in the long run, such as nutritional deficiencies, fatty liver, kidney stones, hormonal changes or eating disorders, mainly. Those who repeatedly view these risk practices are women, youth and people with obesity.
Experts who have produced research, on the contrary, avoid quick solutions in search of weight loss, always consult with a health care profession, and choose gradual methods along with regular physical exercises and lack of confidence through the restricted meals system. They point out that the key is to adopt permanent lifestyle changes instead of temporary solutions and request professional assistance in obtaining a custom and safe plan and help you in the event of a stagnation in weight loss.
