In the year, IPCA accumulates by 2.48 %, and in the past twelve months, the rate has been 5.53 %, higher than 5.48 % than the previous 12 months directly. In April 2024, the contrast was 0.38 %.

The expectation of market analysts, they heard weekly by the central bank is that the rate is 5.5 % in 2025, which is much higher than the constant goal center of the government set by the government, with the margin of tolerance of 1.5 percentage rates up or down.

In this way, BC has increased pressure to be able to bring the index to the target. At the last meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (COPOM), which took place this week, the municipal managers increased 0.5 percentage points from SELIC, leaving the average by 14.75 % per year – the highest in about 20 years.
