The incident of terrorist attacks in Pakistan has increased lately, especially in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balutchistan. A recent report by the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), a large reflection group in Pakistan, said that the militants’ assessment in the first quarter of 2025 in the past 12 years was more than the common citizens and security forces for the first time.

From January to March 2025, 897 people died and 542 people were injured in terrorist attacks and reprisals. In the last quarter of 2024, 1028 deaths were recorded. The case of violence in the first quarter of 2025 recorded a decrease of 13% in the event of violence in the first quarter of 2024.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balutchistan become the center of violence
Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the province of Balutchistan are the centers of violence. 98% of Pakistan’s deaths were recorded in these two provinces. In the first quarter of 2025, the ratio of the last quarter of 2024 decreased by 18% in death. During this period, 63% of terrorist deaths occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
35% of deaths were recorded in Balutchistan. However, there was a 15% increase in violent incidents related to terror. In total, 94% of severe terrorist incidents were reported in the two provinces.
Fear of increasing violence in 2025
The report feared that the number of deaths could increase more in 2025. At the end of 2025, more than 3,600 deaths can occur. If the trend of violence continues by the terrorists, then the year 2025 will be very bad for Pakistan.
Violence continues in Ramadan
Even in the sacred month of Ramadan, there is a period of terrorist attacks in Pakistan. 313 people died and 217 were injured in the terrorist attack during Ramadan. The responsibility of these attacks was taken by prohibited organizations Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Balutchistan Liberation Army, Sidhidesh Revolutionary Army and TTP-Gul Bahadur Group.
